Despite his constant shyness, Christopher Maloney eventually performs in front of an audience on X-Factor UK. Everyone went crazy when he sang "The Rose" by Bette Midler.
Being able to regulate your own emotions is crucial for performing artists in order to connect with their audiences and essentially avoid making a mistake. That's easier said than done, though. It is normal to feel anxious and apprehensive when performing in front of a large crowd, especially if you have never been on stage before.
This phenomenon is known as stage fright.
The man in the video below is well-versed in the importance of facing your fears and venturing outside of your comfort zone in order to achieve your objectives. Being on a global stage in front of the judges and the entire audience made Christopher Maloney feel incredibly anxious and stressed when he took the stage to try out for The X Factor UK. Because of his excessive perspiration and difficulty speaking, the judges were concerned that he wouldn't be able to perform. But as soon as he began to sing, all of their concerns vanished.
The man was able to control his emotions and used his beautiful voice to win over the hearts of the audience.
